Program Cycle 3 · 2025–2027

Building Bright Futures Through Literacy and Innovation

A three-year NYSED-funded initiative that began in January 2025, addressing two critical areas: literacy development through the myON digital reading platform, and early engineering education for PreK–K students.

Implementation

The three-year arc

Cycle 3 moves from platform integration, through full implementation, to sustainability and outcome assessment.

  1. Year 1 · 2025

    Platform integration and initial training

myON rollout across participating schools, account provisioning for staff and students, and the first wave of teacher training. Little Engineers curriculum design and site setup.

  2. Year 2 · 2026

    Full implementation and ongoing PD

Sustained professional learning series, instructional integration through assignments and data reports, family engagement events, and weekly engineering exploration blocks at both implementation sites.

  3. Year 3 · 2027

    Sustainability planning and outcome assessment

Outcome measurement against the four impact areas, documentation of practices that continue past the funding period, and reporting to NYSED.

Goals

Areas of desired impact

The four outcome areas Cycle 3 is measured against.

01

Reading engagement

Increase in average daily reading minutes across all elementary grades through myON implementation.

02

Teacher approval

Through increased student engagement with both the literacy and engineering programs.

03

Vocabulary growth

Increase in engineering vocabulary usage among PreK–K students at implementation sites.

04

Reading scores

Improvement in reading comprehension assessments for students with consistent myON usage.

Add your numbers

These four areas carry no figures yet. When you have measured results, drop them into the cards above in cycle-3/index.html — the layout already leaves room for a headline number per card.
